Waverly Club Receives National Awards

The Waverly Exchange Club recently received several awards during the National Exchange Club Convention in Chandler, 
Arizona. The awards included: 
  • A Next Century Club award for sponsoring the start of a new Exchange Club in Charles City.
  • A Distinguished Club President Award was given to Dan McKenzie past  president of the Waverly club.
  • A Best Club Web Site Award was given to Heidi Solheim the Waverly club’s publicity chair.
  • A National
Service Award for the Waverly club’s fundraising and community service work.


The Waverly Exchange Club started in 1984. Throughout
its history, the club has focused on raising  funds and volunteering time to
support families, victims of child abuse, and  improve the lives of those living

The National Exchange Club is a service organization with 700
clubs  and more than 21,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto
Rico.  Exchange sponsors activities designed to benefit, award and develop our
nation’s  youth, promote crime prevention, serve senior citizens and recognize
military  and public safety service providers. Exchange also promotes
Americanism  programs, and its national project is the prevention of child
abuse.
