The 7th annual Best Inflatable Dam Run 5K walk/run and 8K run was held on Saturday, September 24. The event was organized by the Waverly Exchange Club and sponsored by Waverly Health Center and the Wartburg-Waverly Sports and Wellness Center (the W). 125 runners and walkers participated in the event. A kids' fun run was held at the end of the race.

In addition to the major sponsors, Hy-Vee, Fareway, Kwik Star, Martin Brothers and Pizza Ranch donated refreshments and food for the participants. The Waverly Police Department and the Waverly-Shell Rock Dance Team assisted along the race route. All proceeds from the event will be used to support local Exchange Club causes such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Northeast Iowa Food Bank, Cedar Valley Friends of the Family, and many others.
